FSIMS link to COVID-19 Deviations and Exemptions
The FAA has established a new FSIMS link to provide a single listing of all deviations and exemptions that have been issued to meet the many challenges of COVID-19. Deviations are posted directly in FSIMS, and you will find links to exemptions and the airman enforcement policy posted in the federal register.
General Aviation groups seek additional FAA assistance
In an April 1 letter to FAA Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety Ali Bahrami, AMOA and seven other industry groups urged the agency to broaden the list of extensions to examinations, certifications, maintenance, and filings.

In a March 20 letter to FAA Administrator Dickson, AMOA urged FAA to provide all reasonable relief from regulatory time restrictions for air medical operators, our pilots and mechanics during the pandemic.
AMOA Petition for Emergency Exemption regarding pilot medical certificates
On April 1, AMOA filed a Petition for Exemption on behalf of pilots employed by our members asking FAA for an exemption for pilots who cannot obtain renewal of medical certificates due to the COVID pandemic.
